Race Pipe

So...is it worth the money to replace the cat. with a straight pipe? I wouldn't mind more power, and more noise, as they say. Has anyone gotten good enough gains by doing this, or am I spitting in the wind?

Well, it's illegal, and kills trees and kitties.

Getting one might be tough too. Most places will not make you one.

We sell them for $25-27.50 including bolts and gaskets. They are either 2-1/4" or 2-1/2" your choice, available in either aluminized steel or stainless steel (stainless costs more) we also can get you a cat with a tube through the center (real popular on the Jeeps of late). Looks just like the real thing.

Try sending a PM to sprintmax then. He is running a 100 shot and also has a test pipe installed. He might be able to help you out.

thanks Dallas, that's really good to know, I will definatly go through you guys when I do my exhaust. or maybe you can contact me sometime, I need to get everything after the y-pipe, I like the straight pipe that looks like a cat, but will it pass inspection??? and I also need a B-pipe and a muffler, I'm thinking of getting a 5th gen muffler, but unless you have them I will have to get that on my own, and I hear you guys can put the 2 together, and maybe I'll get some other stuff, keep up the good work

Jay25 = Stillen S/C
97ABMax = 100-shot of nitrous-oxide

If it's a turbo you're after, only two people on this board have them. TurboMax and Turbo97SE (Nigelcf?).

I am not even going to lie to you I really dont know how much of a gain you ll get, but it will be worth $65 or what ever it costs. Since your running Nitrous ask someone and sprint would be the person to ask, he will answer your question. I dont have one on my car.

I posted above the only cars that will gain anything from it will be boosted cars!! or do you have a supercharger? Sprint has one but he has Nitrous Oxide in his car. Naturally Aspirated cars wont benefit from a straight pipe other then that believe me for about whatever it costs I think $65 lots of org members would be buying them like hot cakes.
