So it looks like my brother is getting an I30t (97) Black to compliment my Black 97 Max SE My question is, who on the board has a nicely modded I30? What are the major problems to look out for?

For example, on the max you need to know that it needs strut bars as a minimum for handling. I assume that the same exhaust exists on the I30? So it needs the same Y-pipe? So what are the must-haves for an I30? Starting from stock, what mods would people recommend? The car is Auto and will be driven strickly street and highway.

What, no off road driving?

The same basic max mods would be recommended for an I 30.

 

Who has a modded I30? 130SeFiRo, Sycefiro, SLC I30t, Tai Mai Shu (Jr.).

Mods would be the same for an I30 and Max, but as far as appearance mods that does differ. But FSTB, RSB, Springs ( although I think you have to buy I30-specific springs ), intake, y-pipe, exhaust all the same.

It is my understanding that the car does not have the "touring package." I gather this means it does not have the spoiler/stiffer suspention/nicer seats. What else does this package come with that he will be missing? Fogs?

Cosmetic questions:
How do you clear the tail lights on an I30? Same method as the max?
Are the corners clear stock?
Is there a way to clear the clearance lights? (they look yellow in pics i've seen)
Where can I get/how much is a stock spoiler?
Are there other grills out there?
Do the "crystal clear" headlights only come on the 99? Do they fit in the 97?
Do they use the same 9004 ****ty headlights?
