scary incident at the track on friday. considering not going anymore

i was racing something, memory fails me but thats not improtant. What was scary was when i was at about 50-55 mph, my windshield fogged up almost instantaneously. I had 0 visibility. What could have caused this. It was about 55 degrees and a little humid, and it only happened on that one run with no warning. Freaked me the hell out, oh yah, i know i did still win.

Did you have your heat on? Off?

Maybe you hit a patch of cold/warm air?

That's a freaky thing to have your windshield fog up instantly.

foggy

if you hit a patch of hot air and it is clod out it will cause you windshield to fog up. it happens to me sometimes when i drive over sewer vents here in D.C. if it is cool out. no biggie, the fog went off right away, no harm,no foul.... you still won

press the button that takes the air from the inside and your windows should've been open, so I don't know why this happened

I have no idea what caused this... but why would that stop you from going to the track? think about it... the track didn't cause it.. the same thing could have happened on the street..

Why would you leave the windows open during racing? That will just increase drag.

The only time I have ever had this happen was when the A/C was pn. I hope you ensure that it is turned off before racing, it will slow you down.

Losing power is bad, but running the AC at the track is stupid to begin with. What's better than dripping condensation all over the track for others to slip on.

You must return to the track.

This is not a valid reason for abandoning racing altogether. Besides, better to do it there than on the street.

Set your air controls to re-circulate(when you're racing) and the blower control set to the "floor only" position and you won't ever have to worry again.
