Colored Vent Visors?

Colored Vent Visors?

has anyone painted their vent visors? if anyone does not know what i'm talking about check it out at the bottom of this site http://www.custommaxima.com/AutoVentShade.html
has anyoen painted it the same color as their car? does it look better than just stock colored? thanks for the input

I, personally, think it wouldn't look right. I think it would stand out more making it look "fugly". But, if you have the chrome trim around the molding strips, you may want to do what I did--install chrome pinstripe along the outer edges of the vent visors where the are covering the molding. This way, it looks as if the vent visors came "stock" with the car.

Out of curiosity (and I know this is kind of off-topic for the thread, but I didn't want to post a new topic) how functional are the vent visors? I've never actually had them on any car I've owned and I think they're pretty fugly, but do they significantly cut down on wind noise with the windows down? I tend to drive with my windows down a lot, so...

How functional you ask....

Ever left your car out on a hot day and wished you could have cracked the windows and not had people know they werent closed?

Ever smoked in the rain (pot or cigs)j/k lol....?

ANYWAY MY MAIN POINT IS THE MAX IS THE WORST CAR i HAVE EVER TRIED TO DRIVE WITH A DOWN WINDOW IN THE RAIN.......SOAKED!

Generally I don't leave my windows down when it's raining out.

But, still... to put something THAT ugly on the car I'd hope that it not only keeps some of the rain out, but keeps ALL of it. I can understand where you're coming from, but they're soooo damn ugly...
