ok guys, concentrate with me. imagine 2 98 max's having the same mods excpet 4 the forced induction part, say that one is using a 100hp shot NOS and the other will b using a SC with 10psi boost plus a 40hp NOS, who do u think is gonna win? don't 4get both cars have the same mods except 4 one is on NOS n the other is using both SC n NOS.
if u guys think the SCed max will win can u tell me what can b done with the NOSed max 2 win the SCed max?

the SCed max is also using 40hp of NOS on top of the 10psi boost

well lets see.. Matt's car has 10 PSI and 40 shot of NOS and it has 3xx hp and 3xx tq.. Thomas car has 100 shot of NOS and it has 297 hp and 385 tq .. so i dunno.. its a good race..

i will tell you this.. Thomas with his 100 shot beat Loren with his 9 PSI and no NOS.. it wasn't close so i dunno..

 

the 100shot will have significantly more torque than the SC 40shot, id say the SC 40shot, has low 300s in torque and since the 100shot has high 300s(385).

itll be really close in my opinion, one cars got significantly more hp, while the other has significantly more torque. too close to call, but my money would be on the 100shot.

dwapenyi, sc makes good horsepower, but with nitrous, hp and torque that it adds is only 1 to 1 until like a 50shot, 50shot adds about 50hp and 55-60torque, a 100shot will add about 100hp and almost twice that number in torque.

 

Then again, Thomas runs crazy bottle pressure...

Hmm, generally nitroused cars have the advantage in the lower and middle RPMs but lose power at high RPMS. SCed cars gain power as RPMs rise, but adding 40-shot help in the lower and middle RPMS. It'll be a good race...what bottle pressure will the 100shot be running?

 

Am I only the one who thinks that it would've been easier (And more accurate) to just name this thread "I don't have the money to buy an SC, but I want my car to be as fast as a SC'ed Maxima"?

So they are both automatics. Hmmm. From wat the others have said about NOS boosting low end better than SC etc, and the gear ratios of the auto being quite wide, I would guess that the NOSed only Max would win.

If it was 5 speed against 5 speed, I think it might go the other way , though.

im pretty sure its 5spd vs 5spd, they just dont plan on hitting 5th gear. 100shot on a auto tranny or 10psi with 40shot on a auto tranny, if the tranny is stock i dont see it happening.
