the Got Rust post made me think... i have rust forming under my car seat. it's on the seat itself. where you sit your butt... except underneath uhm anyone have a theory as to why this could have hapenned? i have no idea what the other woner put it through
flood? semi-normal? weird?

 

naw i have this as well. don't worry about it. you should feel the carpet down there its kind of well sticky and kinda descusting. my closest guess is that the moister in the air that is in your car over time will make the metal on the seats rust.

for example on a warm humid night or if you are shall we say ingaged in inappropriate public behavior in you maxima and the windows get all fogged up. when you are done with your extra curricular activities your gonna hit that defrost switch. right before the defrost begins to work you are hit with a wave of very humid air. that humidity is what i think is rusting the bottom of the seat.

 

Not for me. When I clean my car, I clean EVERYWHERE.

 

yeah im just a little to lazy i just clean the outisde and visible inteior. i came acroos the rust and sticky carpet when i was installing my stereo equipment

 

One should never try and pee into a snapple bottle while driving...
