someone posted about a 97 auto witha 5spd 328i and me and others agreed the 328 would win. however my friend has a 328 AUTO stock...i have a auto with JWT and y-pipe but i have 2 12"'s in teh back...what do you guys think?

 

If you are both auto then you should win. You should win by maybe .5 - 1 car length, i guess. the 328 is lighter, but max has alot more power. The 328 is rwd and looses even more power, where max is fwd and gets more power. Hope this helpz

325i stick will win. I know of stock 325i 5-spds who can easily keep up with 330i autos.

 

The auto bimmers are much slower than their 5sp. The max would win. Even a stock max would win a stock 328 auto. And by the way, the 328 is 200lbs heavier than the max, someone said its lighter, NO!

 

I wouldn't say they are much slower; 330i 5-spd 6.3 sec vs 330i auto 6.9 sec.
