Help! Guage Lghting mod gone wrong....

I am in the process of replacing my guage bulbs. I sucessfully removed everything (well except for the molding around the glass which crcked when i took it out). So I took out the guage cluster and unplugged the three (i guess power outlets) that hooked into the back. Replaced the bulbs. I replugged everything and turned on my lights to see how it would look and it didn't light up!!! Neither did any other lighting on my dash. Vents, Clock, Lights in P R N D 1 or 2. I thought maybe Nissan installed some kind of reset or whatever if the guage cluster was ever removed so I started up my car to see if it would reset it, turned on the lights and stil nothing! However this time the clock and my headunit came on.

Does anyone know what this might be? thanks.

Sound like you blew a fuse. Check there first.

Well you know where there is a little door that below the dash on the drivers side. open that and there should be like 60 fuses... look on the cover and it will sasy which is which. or take a test light and try them all.

No need to apologize. Pull of your fuse panel cover(left side of lower dash) and on the other side it has a list of where the fuses are. Look for one that says interior illumination or gages or something that looks like it pertains to all the lights that are out. Pull the fuse and see if it's blown. Or, if you have a test light you can ground one side, put on your headlights and ignition and probe both sides of every fuse. The test light should light up on both sides of the fuse, if it doesn't pull the fuse and see if it's blown. You can tell it's blown cause the little wire inside it is burnt and not making a connection.

Even with the dimmer set to low, it MUST be plugged in for the dash lights to work...I know your done, but, figured more info can't hurt.

Oh nice, now all I have left to do is the window switches and vent guages. I found a guide on how to do the window switches on maximadriver.com, but I couldn't find one on how to do the vent switches. I have the GXE so I don't have climate control or anything. Has anyone written up a guide on this? thanks
