Suspension and brake for my 97 Max....

Hi guys,

I am finally having the time to do brake job and suspension for my Max in the next two weeks. I am planning to install KYB AGX with Maxspeed, and put four slotted rotors together with their pads. In addition, I also want to paint my calipers. I have bought every suspension part I need, since I am scrapping my four corners (113k). I bought every suspension parts necessary so that I could start working on building the suspension before swapping them with the stock ones. I intend to build the new ones in weekdays, so that I will have 4 completely-build suspension when the weekend arrives.

Now, my question for your guys, which one you would want to do first if you want to do the caliper paint, brake upgrade, and the suspension swaps?

I was thinking to paint my calipers first, then do the brakes, and do the suspension part last. Is this a good strategy? Is it easier to paint the calipers while I am changing the rotors and pads so I could get more surface area?

I appreciate your opinion guys!

To be honest with you, besides painting your calipers, I'd do the whole job in one day. New rotors & pads, new suspension. You have to take it all apart anyhow. While you under there, just swap the rest of the stuff. Why take it apart twice?

The painting I'd put off until your sure the car rides correctly. It's only cosmetic.

Hey,

That's what I am planning to do. One weekend, take the whole thing apart, and be done with it.

However, since this is my first brake/suspension job, it might take longer than a day. About painting the calipers, I just figured out that mine is very dirty/dusty, so it will take me about half an hour each to clean them, and another 2 hours or so to pain them.

Thanks!
