do you mean pulling out the clearance lenses?...yeah, they were a ***** for me at first, even took a little chip outta one lense...but then i tried spraying some WD40 in and then used a flathead screwdriver and placed it in the middle of the ball-and-socket joint and popped it out...after 30 minutes of hard pulling and wasting time, the lense popped out in no time with the WD40

what i did was popped the hood, and tried replacing the light from the back. was that the wrong way to do it? it took me about 20 minutes, and a few busted up knuckles

oh...i didn't think i could fit my hand down there, and didn't want to try, even though i do have small hands...but i just unscrewed the top of the lights, and then popped them out, as pictured in the manual and the way it is written up on cheston's site and other places

even though i do have small hands...
I had to tug like a bit*h, but I made sure not to tug on the lens, but the housing. No chips.

and yeah, i was tugging on the housing, but at point, when i was trying to jack it out with my screwdriver, before the WD40, the screwdriver slipped, and took a little piece of the lense with it
...but no biggie, can hardly tell, and causes no real problem

just be real careful it doesnt matter where u tug on u can still mess them up. I was trying to get my friends off as I had already succeded on getting mine off. I grabbed the lense and pulled for a good 30 minutes and tore the plastic housing right before it connects to the ball cup
. So basically his clearance light on that side isnt in place that well but it doesnt go anywhere cause of the screw.

How exactly would be the Safer way to do this? I need to do this with mine, but I aint tryna pull out that Lense knowing that there is a possibilty of it Breaking if not done right. Would the better choice just be to try hard as hell to just unscrew the blulb and do it like that. And if so, is it possible to maybe even do it from under the car?
right way
Follow Chestons guide at maximadriver.com, but it's not quite as easy as he makes it out to be. Basically, the right way to do this is to pop the hood, unscrew the top screw, then pull the housing out slightly (towards the front of the car) which should release some flanges at the back of the lens housing (towards the back of the car) that hold it in the socket.
What you are looking to do is get about 1/2 an inch clearance from the top of the housing near the front of the car. If you are looking at the housing from the top, you should be able to see a small hole that goes straight down behind the housing. This hole will get bigger the farther forward you pull the housing. If you shine a flashlight down there you will see a metal peg from the housing sticking into a plastic peg from the car. This is the "ball joint."
Get a can of WD40 with one of those little straw things and stick in down the hole to spray that joint. Let it sit for at least 30 seconds to work into the joint. Then, through that same opening, stick a flathead screw driver and gently push on that joint while gently pulling the lens housing away from the car. It should release easily if you are applying presure to the ball joint with a flat head screwdriver. The only part that really requires pulling at it is when you are trying to pull the housing foward to the front of the car (like step 2). The flange in the back of the housing can be really in there tight.
