HID would melt the housing

HID would melt the housing

hey i was just wondering if got hid for my max would it melt the headlight housing etc wiring?? and the fog light too? i wanna get stage 2
i can get a deal on them thanx

HID lamps actually burn cooler then filament bulbs.

really? my brothers friend said that he metal hes housing thats y i ask thanx (i think they were the real ones lol)

I've been running HID Kit in both my headlights and fogs. Haven't had any problems. njmaxseltd is right, hids burn brighter and put out less heat then standard bulbs.

HIDs use ~35watts and most of that goes into light output not heat. Although HIDs produce 2-3x more light output than halogen, that does not mean they produce equal times the heat as halogen. You just don't get more light, produce more heat AND use less power... it doesn't add up. The heat is less...
