By K&N pop in you mean drop-in filter or cone intake?
Drop-in filter makes your car a little louder but almost no HP gain. Cone intake such as JWT or Stillen makes your car sound nice mainly under hard acceleration and add about 5-7 hp. Dunno anything about reactive.

The K&N panel filter doesn't increase the noise at all. I don't think that it increases horsepower (I couldn't feel it and I've never seen it dynoed), but it does increase throttle response. The car was noticeably peppier with it. It is definetly better than the stock filter, and since you won't ever replace it, it's cheaper in the long run.

The cone filters have about a 5hp gain, I guess, and have a growl under hard acceleration. The Stillen intake is louder than the JWT Popcharger.
