Budget Y-Pipe question....

Hey guys,
I've been reading all the various posts about the Budget Y-pipe and have to ask....(i've got a '97 SE Auto.)

If I retain the stock exhaust but install this Y-pipe, will I still see big gains? The way I see it...it might flow more, but the stock exhaust would still be "restrictive".

Do all the required gaskets come with it?

Am I really going to see/feel a difference in my car with this on?

Is this going to make my car "loud"?

Lastly, is this a pretty straight forward install? How many of you did it yourself vs. taking it to a shop to have them install it?

You will see gains but you would see more if you get rid of the restrictions in the B-Pipe.

Gaskets come with it.

Yes

A little louder but not much if you retain stock muffler and resonator.

You can install yourself, the hardest part is removing the old Y-Pipe not installing the new one, that part is easy.

As you can see I also have a 97 Auto SE, the Budget exhaust did wonders for it. Not too many autos in the 13's with minimal bolt-ons.

I have an intake and the y-pipe. After the y-pipe the exhaust is stock. I noticed quite a bit of gain in power. The pipe is also loud at WOT, but much more subdued at lower power settings. It will increase the sound level all around though. It's still quiet enough that you won't notice a difference while cruising on the highway.

All the gaskets come with the pipe. I couldn't install the pipe myself, I had to have ashop do it. Freaking "rust belt".
