My question is two part. 1. is it possible to hook up NOS and a supercharger without meeting your maker? 2. Is the combination too stressful for the engine.

1 I agree, yes it can be done....

and with your setup.... I hurd like a 30 shot, everything will be fine, but you cant even spray in every gear.... ( things ive just hurd ) i also hurd anything over a 30 shot....50 75 100 will be too stressfull...

Doesn't Zex make a intercooler with nitrous attached to it? That would b pretty sweet for a turbo set up...

 

Doesn't Phil96SE run a S/C with a 40 shot and runs high 12s.. also "sleeper" had a S/C with a stock pulley running 13.3 i think and added Nitrous, so he had to break 12s.. I don't know about anyone else. although i'm sure there are a few But ****, that's a lot of power

 

well, in relations to how many modded maximas out there, not that many can run 12's. i can think of only like 10 off the top of my head, if that. i may be wrong. as for the turbo max's running 12's with 400+ HP, yes they CAN be dynoed at that, but the only turbo max i've seen times for is TurboMax97 (Nigel) and he's in colorado so he doesn't have the best representation for time (14's i believe). its not about HP once you hit a certain level, if you cant get traction, you're screwed. thats why automatics have such a hard time breaking into the 13's with NOS unless you have some sort of limited slip. (Don's doesn't count since he has a super max). i'm still waiting for MardiGras to run a 12.XX so i can die a happy maxima owner (don't ask why)

i know i'm leaving some out, but my brain is not functioning. MardiGras in knocking on 12's.

 

I don't think TurboMax ran his yet. However with his setup, he should be able to hit 12s. Same goes for Sx7r, don't think he ran yet either, should be in the 12s easily. I seen slip of Don's run, a 12.26 I think. Don't know about Phil, just "heard" about it, but that's about it. Guy with 1st gen, don't know either. And as far as SprintMax...

 

Ahhhhh 12's, dream a little dream!

With my new clutch and slicks I should be their as soon as I go back to the track.

The only folks I know who have actually run 12's are Jamie 12.6 (NOS), Don 12.2, (NOS), Phill 12.5 (SC/NOS), and the 1st gen ? (??). Their a are a bunch of others that have the potential, and will soon do it, but it is harder than you think. High power FWD cars are hella hard to launch, and controll tire spin on.

Juicey boost is no problem, just dyno it out before you use it. With some ignition timing retars the stock VQ will go much more than 355fwhp, we sall see about that soon

Out of that list only 2 have the time slips to back it up. The rest are either rumors or have never done it.
