i filled up $8 worth of gas yesterday in the evening at 6, it was 1.69/gal, and gave me like 4.8 gallons, and from complete empty it went up to between a quarter tank and half, and then after driving only 30 miles, yes it was city driving, im down to sumwhere btwn a quarter and empty...im assuming i ate up about 2.5 to 3 gallons of gas in 30 miles?? thats insane..i changed my fuel filter recently and i checked for leaks and nothing seems to be dripping, my girlfriend said she smelled gas in my car when she got in before i started it today, but then i checked where i was parked and there is dirt there in the driveway, but there was no smell of gas on the dirt anywhere nor did i see any gas leaking from car. I dont know whats going on, is the fuel pressure messed up? should i add some kind of fuel system cleaner thing to my tank to clean out my fuel system?? i have bad struts and bad tires that need to be replaced soon, but can that be causing my bad mileage? does getting a CAI help improve gas effeciency? can sum1 help me out here, please.
