?? for ppl w/ guage glowing needle kits

i have a 96' max, and i want to install a glowing needle kit. i got the kit from http://importintelligence.com/index.html

after i install all the glow rings and so on i have to connect a red wire coming out of the controller to a 12v ACC wire, and connect a black wire to the chassis or ground wire. my questions are, where did you guys connect your red wire? and where did you connect the black wire? i want the lights to turn on whenever i turn on the car.

thanks in advance for any replys.

Why not connect it to the dimmer switch? But for me, I found my dimmer switch unworthy because my dash lights would come on EVERY time I armed and disarmed my Viper alarm, causing my lights to "die out" prematurely. So, in resolving my problem, I hooked up the "power" wire from the dimmer switch to 12V ignition, meaning my dash lights ONLY come on when the car is started. But, for your case, hook the red wire to the "illumination" wire on the dimmer switch (red/yellow in my car) and the black wire to any common grounding point. I would install a 1 amp fuse in-line with the needles just to be safe in case the power from the needles tends to "short" in any way of its path. I hope this information helps you out any.

yea the info is very helpful. the reason i didn't think of putting it on the dimmer switch is b/c it's not at least 12v, at least thats what the neddle kit instructions said. i might just hook it up to the ignition.

thanks
