Turbo Question??

ok i am very interested in a turbo for my max in the future. I am new to the whole "modding" scene, so i have a few questions. First off, i heard my friend sayin that it was possible to put a twin turbo in a max. he said it would be around $5000 for everything. i personally dont believe him. he also said that it would bring my hp from 195 up to around 425 . If ya ask me he must have been doin some serious amounts of drugs lol. could anyone tell me if he was serious or if it was just the herb talkin. Second question (this one is realistic). How much will a turbo with all compnents cost me for my '98 max, and where in AZ would i be able to get it installed. i will appreciate any feedback i get greatly.
Thanx alot

twin turboing the Max is a joke. of course its possible but i see no realistic gains vs a single turbo setup. there are alot of choices when it comes to a turbo kit. type of turbo, wastegate, BOV, fuel management, intercooler or not. you should narrow down what you want or what you want to do first. if you are too lazy then juss bring it to a good shop and give them lots of money, youll have a turbo kit in short time.

when it comes to lazy..... i am the king lol. But i think i know kinda what i am lookin for. as far as type of turbo, i have no clue (as i said before i am pretty new to this whole thing). i do know however that i would like some sort of an intercooler and definatly a wastegate for it. as far as gains, estimate what do you think i would be lookin at in terms of hp. also would you have any clue estimate cost of this whole type of a project.

Check out the group deals section. There is a guy named Nigel in CO that had a system made for his car, now the shop sells them for roughly $4000 for the full setup w/FMIC.

I thought about turbo for my car a lot but found it just too expensive for me so I will go with nos. The turbo will propably cost you around $3000 for the simplest set up. If you have a local shop that sells these types of things I would go there first.
Good Luck,
Paul

Go to www.pfispeed.com, The guys are really cool there, i dyno my car with them often. there web site lists what comes with the kit and in my opinion for the price, its a good deal. I mean at 4psi you will be pushin close to 270 fwhp. Again you can either contact the shop or just email nigel and he will tell you everything about the kit.
