FSTB torque question
#5
I believe it's 35.
I also think it's in the FAQs section
or somewhere on the site anyway.
Of course there's that link in the top right
you know, "search"?
When I put my FTSB in I didn't know any better
and I didn't have a torque wrench anyway.
So I just cranked it down as hard as I could.
Worked fine for me.
BUT - WARNING - I've read posts from peeps who broke off the bolt 'cause they overtightened.
So I'd do the search / read the FAQs to confirm 35.
And I'd borrow, rent or buy a torque wrench.
Harbor freight tools has em pretty cheap.
Got mine fer 10 bucks when they had a sale.

The FSM reads 29-40, so 35 is a good number. Over the years I have collected a good number of scanned FSM pages and they are invaluable. I really need to buy a FSM, but we really should have somewhere that has FSM pages that can be had by people. It would alleviate a lot of repetitive questions as well.
