Cold Air Intake

I was wondering if there are any CAI's that do not require drilling through the fender well. if not, the ones like the place racing that say to drill, is it possible to not drill and to just keep the whole system in the hood? Thanks

The whole point of the CAI is for the filter to sit outside of your engine bay. So you will have to make a hole if you do want the CAI. If you want just the hybrid...then thats another story. That will remain in your engine bay and you will not have to make a hole. You could use PR CAI just as a hybrid but then you would be wasting $200. Ive seen guys make their own for under $20.

Get a WSP CAI. Its 155 and comes with a real KN filter. Its practically the same as PR CAI, but without the name and cool color.

What you are describing is called a hybrid intake. Welcome to Maxima.org. Just for advice and much more answers instead of flames, use the search function at the bottom. This issue has been discussed just about once a week here. As a matter of fact, look at the top of the page inside the General forum for the results and continuing discussions on this very subject.

there is the weapon r intake which i believe comes with like a little box that produces cold air or something like that...seems a little complicated but i heard u don't need drilling, just place it in there and vamoosh...but i don't know how reliable something like that is....sounds like a motor thing going on....
