Redlining???

when i'm just cruising along in the ol max at about 20 i sometimes get the urge to just floor it... in which case most of the time i do and my tach goes all the way up to 6000RPM before shifting into 2nd. is this normal on an auto?? i've only had my max for like a month now and it feels pretty normal. I have a catback and a stillen intake if this makes a difference.

The automatic transmission doesnt redline, it would be basically impossible unless you manually shift it, the highest it would go is about 6200-6300. Its just normal..

You wouldn't want to redline in an auto anyways.

Peak power is around 6200-6300 rpm.
