Vibrations

Hey,

I just replaced my Spark Plugs in my 96 i30 using the NGK Platinums, now my car vibrates like crazy when it is driving under 2000 RPMs. Can anyone please help. Do I need to take somewhere to get something adjusted? Thanks

Sounds like a misfire. Is your check engine light on? Go over your install. Check all connections. Make sure you didn't unplug an injector by accident. You may want to take all the coil packs out again, and reset them.

njmaxseltd is right, plus you may just have a bad spark plug. I can't tell you how many times I have seen auto parts workers drop spark plugs on the floor and then just put them back on the shelf.

Plugs

Thanks, I changed the plugs yesterday and drove the car to work today and it was still doing the same thing. However, I did drive again today and it seems like everything is stabilized. The ECU light is still on, so I'll probably go to autozone and ask them to diagnose it for me.

You don't have to go to auto zone, read the sticky up top that say HELP MY ENGINE LIGHT IS ON! It's easy and free! Makes ya feel good to know you can do it yourself. You've probably got the misfire code and it will tell you exactly which cylinder was acting up too.
