Glass pack or something????/

Hey everyone, i was just wondering about something. My brother's muffler like rotted away a while back and since he was low on cash he bought a "glass pack" (i dont remember if thats what its called) all it basically does is make the exaust louder, but its like super thin. I was wondering if this makes any difference on performance? Worser or better (doubt it) but any help or corrections would help. Thanks. Peace

Maybe pick up 2-4 hp but with alot of extra noise. No harm... probably should have gotten the 'right' type of muffler... I'm sure it ain't pretty.

HAHA, well the size isnt noticable until you look under the car- but yeah ive got to admit the ugliness. Well do you know if its actually called a "glasspack"? I think i remember my bro saying that it was called this because the pipe has fiber glass in it or something. thanks anyways. Peace

My brother removed the muffler form his 95 Maxima, and put a straight pipe with a tip, and it sounds nice.
