Bumpstop cutting with B&G's
Bumpstop cutting with B&G's
I have had my B&Gs/AGX on for months now and I think I could use a little bit more travel when I hit bumps/potholes. I have decided to cut my bumpstops down. When I did the install, I replaced both the front and rear bumpstop/dust covers with Nissan OEM ones. I did not cut them down any. I did not see any instructions on how much to cut down the bumpstops with B&G springs. Does anyone know or have any suggestions? And can I cut them off without removing the assembly?
Off the top of my head I believe you can cut them as much as almost half the bumpstop if you feel you need that much travel. There are several threads on cutting bumpstops, but since I never needed to cut mine I never paid too much attention.
And yes you will have to take the whole assembly apart to get the dustboots off to be able to cut the bumpstops.
