Braking sqeaking and messed up..
My front brakes are totally screwed up. 3 months ago and went to midas and they told me i needed to replace my rotors becuase they are two thin, and they get hot and thats why they squeak. Now when i coast my brakes make noises. Midas also said that i am missed some hardware on my brakes and it was the springs for them. Ok should i do it myself. I don't know much about it. Do i need the springs? COuld they be causing all the noise? SHould i do it myself, new rotors and pads. And wats a brake hardware kit? Thanks for any feedback.
Well if what Midas is telling you is true... Then go out and buy some rotors and new pads and a hardware kit(pretty much everything you need for installation) and do it yourself. Try the maxima package on eatricezone.com I've heard some good things about it. i also have too thin of rotor and one side missing shims and cheap pads so I have squeal in my braking.

Could i just buy some new rotors. I want to save alot of money. Could i keep my old pads? And do i need the hardware kit? And one more thing my brakes on the diver side front makes a scratching noise when i drive and coast. Wats wrong with it? WOuld changing my rotors changed that too?
