After installing my fstb a week ago or so, I look today to find that its all scratched up in two places. They are in the center sides(not on the sides close to the center) of the strut bar. Im thinking some rubbing on the hood, but how does that make sense there is no way it would scratch like this...

But don't you have the liner on the underside of your hood? I think that is too soft to scratch the finish, maybe it's one of the studs that holds the liner in place? Try polishing them out if they are not deep.
