If It Fit Just Right KEEP IT!!!
Hey fellow fourth gens. Got to start a quick poll. I've had my 96 going on 6 years now and members of my family and some friends say Mark, why don't you treat yourself to a new car. Max or otherwise...my reply is, "it fits me just right"...you know the drivers seat is just perfect for me and I'm 5' 11" at 180 lbs. My max is cherry...absolutely showroom grade, thanks to quarterly polishing and waxing and fanatical detailing and maintenance.....I run a Stillen Cat back, RSB, FSTB, Stillen Hi Flow K&N, Momo Sport Wheels and Nitto 555 Extremes in 235/45/17's. These are the only mods.Question...do any of you share "It fits me just right" feeling also. Go to it.
Ive thought about getting a 2k or 2k1 max many times. Ive figured i leave for basic training in august and when i get back my car will have about 99k miles (i hope) so i figure i could trade it in before it hits 6 figures and go for a off lease 2001 SE but then i think about how much $$$ and sweat ive put into it and i dont think i could part with it so easily, i just love my max.
By the time I will be getting a new car my 97 max will only be worth about $4000 and I will have many mods on it. I will keep it as a spare as I really love this car. I wouldn't get the 2001, wait a few months and get the 2002.
