I was wondering how many tickets people have gotten

Since in 6 months I got Improper Start (what BS charge) and Improper Lane Change, not to mention Drag Racing on a Highway. So, I was wondering who has got what (I you dont mind me asking). Also has anyone been pulled over for undercar lights?

Only ticket I've ever received was for Improper Lane Change when I wrecked my mom's Jeep after I had just turned 18. I did over $8000 worth of damage to it and smacked my head real hard on the steering wheel (it bent) and the cop still had to give me that BS ticket. The Jeep just came out from under me when I was turning in the rain. Jeeps are such pieces of ****. I've never had a ticket since though.

one speeding ticket.. 83 in a 65. $280! and i received a written warning for the clear bumper bulbs... they gave me 20 days to change it and get it inspected. i changed them to amber bulbs and the hamden dmv still said it was no good!! you need to have an orange reflector or something? i dunno, i left right away, i was ****ed. it was the 19th day (yes, procrastinator).. i ended up just bringing my mom's max (all stock) to the other DMV and i was home free! the cop didnt even write down the right model car anyway.. he wrote "nissan sentra" i don't look like that! grrr

Between the ages of 17 and 20, I got:
6 speeding tickets
1 reckless
2 driving on suspended (Worse than a DUI for insurance in WA State)
1 improper lane change

Ages 21-now (27):
Nothing, nada.

I learned to keep it on the track, or at least on back roads where I know cops never are.

It's funny, I got a speeding ticket in RI in my 86 Toyota pickup going uphill.

No tickets in the Max, the Volvos or the Benz.

Tickets.. I'm a friggin' magnet

Well, let's see...
Canadian, so in KMs

109 in a 90 (was doing 119). $60
155 in a 90 (dropped to 139 for a minor conviction). $350
Failure to stop at a stop sign (resulting in over $7500 damage to my baby, and who knows for the Echo that hit me).... I thougth I was clear, but had obstructed view.. curses. $150 + $500 deductible
130 in a 100 (BS!!! I had accelerated to pass, then came back down under 120.. damn Quebec police). $100 or so.

POINTTS fees for representation: $1200+
Ticket costs: $660

Oh, and a break in to my Max where they stole my laptop... $500 deductible on the car, $1000 on the new laptop.

Total cost of maintaining my car from the law: $ 3860 PLUS my insurance went from $94 to about $300...

I have 1 of 15 demerit points remaining and an interview on the 26th...

I use my cruise control ALOT now...

DOH.

Reckless driving (1 month suspension & traffic school)

Aggravated speeding (77 in 50) + Attempting to elude = $430

Speeding (52 in 35) ... got that last one "fixed"

all i got to say is that www.ticketassassin.com rocks, if you got a ticket in the state of california then this site is the place to go... they explain everything about the system there... i got one ticket off that way, i'm gonna try to take care of two more tickets the same way. I just got a ticket last saturday for doing 90 in a 65 bastard cops...

Around 8 tickets and countless close calls, here are the highlights...

$180 ticket for 92 in a 70 going from Gainesville to Tampa, damn you and your speed traps Alachua County.

$280 ticket for over 100 in a 45 and attempting to elude. I got lucky though, he only clocked me at 80, probably as I was still accelerating and he couldn't charge me with eluding because it was like 2am and the dumba$$ didn't turn on his lights until he found me after I stopped my car behind a store trying to hide. I just told him I didn't know who he was because he was so far behind me.

I've had the opportunity to meet all the major local law enforcement agencies up close. The best was back when I used to race teenager-ly in my integra...was on the interstate in daytime traffic with a modded out civic, not pushing extreme speeds...and a guy totally cuts me off getting into the fast lane and continues to go 55 in a 55...gave him the bird and rode his *** and the dude FLIPPED OUT.

After flailing around in his seat and trying to make it obvious to me that he had a cell phone, we came over a hill and there was a state trooper trapping. The guy STOPPED in the middle of the interstate when he saw him, and pulled over to the shoulder. Trooper caught up to me and the civic a couple miles later, and with my slightly dirtied record, just gave both of us a talking to. He agreed that the old guy was the biggest idiot

Funny that my only speeding ticket was in my auto 85 accord se-i, 84 in a 60. Got a leaving the scene ticket (yeeeowtch) for putting a 1" scratch into some rich girl's legend in a downtown high-schoolish parking lot, pulling into a spot (it was general parking but where high school kids bought spots). They chose not to buff it out and I had to pay $1100 plus all the legalities...

window tints & other small violations. Warnings, and one unfortunate non-moving reefer possession (darn undercovers on foot!).

I've gotten 6 I think. 4 were during one stop alone.
1) Expired insurance card (let me out of speeding so gave me insurance instead).

2) DWAI Shouldn't have been driving and got caught. Thank god my Maxima is in my moms name, cuz in NY they impound your car.

3) Illegally driving with a Conditional License. Coming from ym friends I got in a fender bendere and cop gave me a ticket.

4) Illegal lights, illegal tints, illegal license plate covers, illegal blinkers.

Got pulled over yesterday for blowing a stop sign and speeding, but the guy just gave me a warning. Thank god...

Haha.....gotta love it, as for me I've only gotten a warning for "supposedly" running a red light. Although the cop that "saw" me was around the bend, and completely unable to see the light. But I SHOULD have gotten pulled over thousands of times....

several speeding tickets in CT, 1 in jersey, 1 in virginia, 1 in florida. total fines about $2G's.

wreckless driving -speeding 101 in 55 30 day sus. $340 court fine $100 dmv plus sr22 insurance.

CT. improper lane change had to make the exit at the last momont.
CT. failure to pass properly. bull$hit (i was trying to avoid an accident)
CT. improper placement of regisrtation sticker. more bull$hit.

currently on a 2.5 year run of good behavior and lower insurance. got 2 tickets pending 1 in MA and 1 in CT going to lawyer up for these. paying a retainer might suck but it has helped in the long run. i look at it this way; the retainer is less then the increase in my insurance rate for the next 3 years. (CT DMV keeps infractions record for 3yrs)

i cant explain it but sometimes i get this urge to floor it. am i the only one???

Andy, I once got a 75 in a 35. He didn't write me up for DTE because I was on the Tobin (going onto the loop, it changes from 55 to 35 after the tolls) but the moneral amount was about 400+.

I had that taken care of also. It's nice to have federal cops as co-workers...

Indeed.
I got caught on Rt.3 going from Nashua, NH. At some point I was doing more than 90mph, a few min later got pulled over, but he clocked me at 75mph.
That was my first ticket, so I went to Billerica district court and got a break.

ok - time for a story

my college roomate drives an A4 and we have a little running battle with the city of boston parking police - i think he has something like 15 or 20 tickets between Boston and Cambridge Mass. he then got a boot, which was installed incorrectly and promptly removed by me. the moral is that he is now in dept to the city for something like $700 and we had to give the boot back, but as long as he keeps his car out of metered spots... no problems.

hes also got a 95 in a 55.

my best is 55 in a 30 which i wasn't ticketed for since the cop's brother was a teacher that had me (and must have liked me) in high school...

first speeding ticket 55 in 35, dropped with driving school
Second Speeding-went on record, 60 fine, 63 in 45
Third Speeding-trial is in Sep, hopefully will give me break cause more than year since last ticket--85 in 65.

Things learned, bought a passport 8500 after 2nd ticket, saved a lot of future tickets, use your detector, be wise and know where the cops are, no matter how good your detector is, laser will almost always get you (my 3rd ticket), have a good story as for a reason of why you are speeding, so far, I'm 3/4 with the story as far as getting out of tickets.

Last: Ge Geico Insurance, with Geico, the rate does not go up with speeding tickets in GA, insurance never goes up

tickets

These were all in California

1997:
January: Speeding 130 in a 65 $1390 lost court battle
March: Speeding 49 in a 35 $74

1999:
May: Missing from licensce plate free
July: Speeding 95 in a 70 $270

2000

2001:
January: Reckless driving in a private parking lot officer let me go
September: 45 in a 25. Cop heard my intake and thought I was speeding. BS- went to court and won

I drive like a granny now, so hopefully I'll never get any tickets ever again. I've learned my lesson the hard way

when your tires squeak when you start, I bearly heard it and the cop is telling me that I lost complete control of the car (which is why i could change two lanes at once and "cut him off" right?!?). So screaming starts are no good, but it is not justifiable for the cop to pull you over just for that (thanks to my Lawyer for that).
