if your talking about an aftermarket y pipe, they eliminate the precats found in the stock y pipe........ the primary difference between a cheap muffler and a stillen muffler is pretty much the name. You can most definitely get a good quality muffler for around 100 bucks made outta 314 stainless steel and everything.
