I finished up lowering my car yesterday but was way too tired to post so im doing it now. End result first; the handleing is awsome alot of sway is just plain gone, fwy riding is great too. In short, im very happy with the end result.

Now a few things i want to say that you will need and not need:

1. As posted in the sticke up top, it says you can use clear tubing from Home Depot with I.D. of 1/2"
1a. This does not work, the tubing is such that is does not curve in realtion the the spring

2. Wire wrap from the radio shack worked very nicly, i would suggeset getting 2 packs tho

3. Make sure you got the proper tools, this definitly includes a spring compressor, not so much for the rear but for the front when installing AND removing. Tools definitly needed were a breaker bar, and large socket set, those dinky 30pc sets for everyday use aint gonna cut it. Lastly i would say the use of mutiple jack stands, i used about 6, but this was because i kept the whol car on jacks.

4. I did not need to replace anything at the time, with exception the the orange gasket that goes atop the spring/under the mount. My car has 30k.

All in all it was a great learning experince and feel that should i need to do it again it would be more like a 3 hour job with 2 ppl. Enjoy the pics.

Nice job

Your Max looks SHARP! I am envious. I like the nice even wheel gap. Even my girl agrees.

Heyy..I also did mine as well last weekend...

..but I only did the fronts though.... since there was a cop standing by and he did not like the fact that I changed the suspension at the DMV parking lot...

BTW... your car looks good! I measured the gap between the front fender and the tire, and mine is about 3 fingers. Looking at your pics, I believe you also have about 3 fingers.

One thing though, how do you clip those brake lines on the fronts? It was my hardest task yet.... I was having a hard time to put those clips back on the KYBs...

Since I haven't done my rears, I don't know just yet....but I believe it would be like yours....

Congrats man!

ps: It took me 5 hours to do the fronts since I and my girlfriend spent 1 hour trying to lift the car up (the asphalt was too soft so we dig numerous holes on the ground), but installation time is about 3 hours.
