How do I get the small interior parts? And is it hard to fix a tach?

How do I get the small interior parts? And is it hard to fix a tach?

I just bought a beautiful Deep Evergreen Max! (color codePO thnx FAQ page )

Its missing a few small things, the small tray that covers the fuses below and left of the steering wheel, parts to the hinge of the arm rest/cubby thing, and the carpet from the trunk. Should I just go to a dealer?

Also, the tach stopped working properly, it only reads to about 2,000 rpm. I called a mechanic who said that it will cost $90 just to get to the instrument cluster, then whatever to fix it. I said no in hopes that I can do it myself. Is this a difficult fix?

Oh yeah, and there aren't any floor mats front or rear. I kinda want ones that say "Maxima" or "Nissan." Know where I could find these?
Thanks!

First off, Congrats on getting a max! You should be able to get the parts you need pretty cheap at a junkyard. The tach might just be stuck or something. I'd try to take the speedometer cluster out first and see if you can fix it yourself. If you can't then you can consider buying another one. Hope this helps.

Cool, thanks bro.
How long does it take to take out the dash to get to the gauge cluster? I'm looking at my Hayes manual right now and it looks pretty involved.

The first time I did it to put in my indiglo gauges it took me a while but now it only takes maybe 5 minutes to get the cluster out. It's getting it back in that might take a little longer. I don't even remove the screws underneath the steering wheel i just lower it. Just be careful when taking off the trim that surround the cluster with the two screws on top. I cracked mine trying to take it out. Good luck!
