How much money for 95 SE?
I have been thinking about getting rid of my 91 maxima SE and getting a 95 or newer Maxima 5spd. How much money should i spend on a newer max. I dont want to spend alot because i want to do alot of mods. Also what price do you think i should sell my max for. Check out my webpage. Thanks to anyone who answers this post.

You should see the going price on Ebay, the Maximas FS/WTB forum & blue book values.
If you don't want to spend much $$$ because you plan to do mods, you'll have to go for a higher mileage older year (say 95).
It really depends on your budget. For more money, you tend to get a newer car.

Re: How much money for 95 SE?
The market value of 4th gen. maximas has gone down considerbly since the 5th gen. body style(especially with the bored out 3.5 litre...same block). My tax statement lists my car value at almost 14K, but this is not true if I were to buy my car today('97 SE 5spd w/ 53k, cloth interior, clarion pro audio CD player[this ain't best buy garbage 400 dollar unit]). I would pay no more than 11k for it(I payed 17k for mine a year and a half ago but that was before the new engines, I think I got a good deal it only had 28k on the odometer at the time). Also, I would do what I did see if you can get what used to be a leased car from the dealer(they should have all service records on file by vin#), and if it seems like it has been a clean car with low milage(the average american drives 12k a year, most drive more though) then I would go for it! I would suggest getting a 5spd(they are easy to find in my area though) and stay away from high milage cars(no matter how tempting it is). Good luck shopping!
