Glove box light - I didn't know that!
I got my '96 Max last Oct. and have always owned US cars up to that point. I saw that the glove box lite was out and got the bulb out only to find it was ok, and tested the socket to find no current there. Looked for a burned out fuse and didn't find one.
Fast forward to last nite when I'm looking over my new Haynes manual (good manual!) and see the curcuit for dash lites. I'm thinking about the issues yall have had with the defrost and emer lites not coming on with the dash lites and I see this glove box and sw on that curcuit! Whoa!!
I had to run out to the garage and test it, yup! glove box lites ONLY when lights are on park or headlites, NOT when off! Who knew!
Any onther cars out there like that? This is the first time I've seen that on any car anywhere. I guess its good if you leave the glove box open so it wont kill the battery, still it seems so strange to do it like that.
