Engine Cleaning?

Does anyone know of maybe some good House Hold appliances stuff, that I can clean all that Crud off of my engine with? Looks like I gotta Scrap that stuff off. Anyone know of some simple like 409 or something that will make that stuff just shed off? If so, reply.

I appreciate it

simple green works very good - just make sure you cover your intake and your alternator with a bag or something before you hose it down

I also was going to say Simple Green.

Far as I know that there is two version of Simple Green.
One for house cleaning and other one is for automotive.
House cleaning one is cheaper and it works pretty good...
For engine cleaning use full strangth. Which means do not
add water etc...

Likewise I use Simple Green and have had excellent results. It is also biodegradable and doesn't kill your grass.
