Anyone ever try 255/35's on an 8" wide wheel?

Looking for tire's, thinking of either 235 or 255's, 245 look too tall for my taste.

255 will not fit on 8 inch.
255 will fit on 8.5 inch.

35 will give you NO SIDEWALL. You will tell your friends "my car handles like its on RAILS"...This is because on 35 profile, your RIMS will FEEL like RAILS on the pavement.

245/40 18 on a 18x8 with 40mm offset is perfect all around.
Check out JAY25's Homepage.

The most you can do if NOT a daily driver:
255/40 18 on 18x8.5 front and 265/40 18 on 18x9 (you will rub)
If you like it..check out UNCLEMAX.

255/35 will be extremely heavy tires. dont bother , i agree with krbga, think about it this way..... the less the sidewall, the less protected your well earned money is.

255's will fit on a 8" rim, but is NOT recommended. juss like how a 235 will fit on a 7" rim but is NOT recommended.

245/40/18 is not really perfect all around, its a bit larger in diameter compared to stock. Ideally you want to try to get as close to stock overall diameter as possible so 235/40/18 would be a closer.

Prolly gonna go with the 235 or 245, just wanted to see ppl's input. I think the 255/35 is almost the exact same diameter of a 225/40.
