Here's 35%. Keep in mind darker colored cars with dark interiors always make tint look darker. This picture was taken in mid afternoon.

I'm in NJ and I have 20% all around with a tan interior. I've had the tint for over a year now and have yet to have a problem with the police. It was a ***** to pass inspection though. It took forever to find a shop that would do it, and I had to pay $85. Anyways, check out my homepage for pictures of my car. They're on Page 5.

mine's 11%. i didn't even know that till the nice police man pulled me over and checked for me. wasn't that nice of him? he said it was very illegal for CT, and he gave me a big fat ticket, but no DMV summons. so i kept them on. i'm sure i'll run into him real soon...

I bought my Max (a 1998) not too long ago, and it is black. It has tint that is weird - it looks like something off of a Lexus or something. I don't like it. It has this strange greenish looking mirror. I think it's ugly.
10 percent will be even darker than 20 percent, right? I think the percent is based on how much light is let through... so, the lower the percent, the darker the tint. Isn't that how it works?
I'm asking because I want to sound like I know what I'm talking about when I walk in to get my windows tinted next week.

I dont know where you live, but here in California, its illegal to have any tint at all in the front windows. We dont have inspections though, so as long as the police dont catch you, its fine. Ive never had any trouble with the police, i just make sure that i spot any police before they spot me, so that i can roll my windows down. Ive seen a lot of cops just look at my direction (when my windows are up) and just not seem to care. i suppose it all depends on the cop and how bored he is.
Puremax- I find the san jose cops to be the least concrened with tint and other "illegal" mods. I have a lot of respect for them because they have actual crime to worry about and dont really have time to mess with such insignificant things. you dont want to come across a san jose police officer during the races though! Anyway, i find that the cops in small towns are the absolute worse. Thier day consists of eating McDonalds, pulling people over who go 5 mph over the speed limit, and ticketing young guys in fast cars for "illegal" mods. Anyway, thats my rant.

This is 22% all around. The angle of the lighting makes a really big difference in how dark it appears. If there is direct sunlight on the tint on the side you are viewing, it looks really dark, but if the light is on the other side, it seems lighter. Yeah, I know; Captain Obvious; but I just felt like sharing that.
