Got a Speeding ticket, but.....

Last week I got a speeding ticket, but when I carefully looked at the ticket I noticed that the officer had misprinted my driver license number incorectly. So i called the court and asked them if this case could be overlooked. But they told me that other resources on the ticket identified it as me and i'd have to pay the ticket! I'm thinking should I get a lawyer or just pay it off ($150)

I recommend,

paying it off

getting a lawyer

fighting the ticket yourself.

use the serach feature for details

The ticket should be thrown out because if there is any mistake on the ticket, then it is not you.

How fast were you going, anyway? That's a pretty steep fine.

heh...I've had a ticket where they didn't even spell my name right (and it wasn't like, just one letter. They totally murdered it somehow). The rest of the ticket was basically illegible. The attorneys here at work laughed at me when I asked if I could get it thrown out because of my name and the illegibility. So I wouldn't totally rely on it getting thrown out b/c of the error.

u dont really need a lawyer, all these people got tickets thrown out for mispelled names and incorrect dates, well he screwed up on your drivers license # thats a pretty big deal, i say just take it to court, chances are u can get it taken care of, trust me i just got a 135$ speeding ticket for doing 75 in a 45 and that 135$ could have been used as good mod money
