maxima vs dakota R/T

This kid just got this Dakota R/T and its completly stock. doesnt look like anything special just a plain black R/T with no mods, well i have a 96' auto max with a place racing CAI, if we were to race a quarter mile and from a 30mph start who would win, i heard those are pretty fast, but then again pretty fast for a truck could be a big lose to them when racing a max please give me input

Re: maxima vs dakota R/T

FWIW the latest truck trend tested an '02 Dakota Club cab R/T and it ran the 1/4 mi in 15.5 sec @ 88.72mph. A regular cab dakota R/T should be a little faster than that. IMO the 1/4mi will be a close race and from a 30mph roll a max should be the winner.

The R/T has you hands down, believe me. Now I think a few bolt ons and that 50 shot might get you there. Now from the other thread mentioned above the GMC and Ford big boys own the both of you. Lightenings run in the high 13's stock which is comeparable to COBRAs. Then again some people on here think they can take COBRAs with i/y/e. The new RAM SR/T 10 will take the both of them hard with projected runs in the 12's, I think the 500HP Viper engine helps.....
