I just got the midpipe since I bought the K&N filter seperately a while back. You should get the whole deal. It will only cost you $135. It includes everything, even your choise of K&N filter of Monster Flow filter. In the comments section about your order or where available. Tell them you want the K&N filter instead of the MOnster Flow filter. K&N are used by most people on this forum since they are proven to be the best. The install was very easy. It's like plug nd play. I read the instructions before attempting install. I've never done anything mechanical to my car other than changing bulbs. But, the installation was a peice of cake. Here's the on;y picture I could find from off the frankencar website.

Mine looks exactly like that. Hope this is of some help.

Yeah. It's the same thing. I didn't know at first either until I looked at some pics of some board member's setups and realized that the upper tube or midpipe was referring to the inner section of the intake setup between the throttle body (silver loooking box) and the MAF (small black box with a pink sticker on it attached to the air filter).

I ordered it from www.frankencar.com.

Capitone: The Frankencar midpipe is shorter than the one normally used in a CAI. If it were the same length, the air filter wouldn't fit or may be pressing forcefully against the side of the engine compartment. Thus, the filter would not be getting enough air to be really effective.

From what I've heard, it is best to reset your ECU after every mod so it can learn fresh what you've just installed. Just disconnect the battery for an hour to reset it.

thanks for answerign everyone's questions for me yes that is the reason. the filter would sit pressed andn stuffed in the corner and wouldn't be as effective.
