Y-pipe noise...

I am about to put a warpspeed aluminized y pipe on my 97 maxima SE. I have an intake and a performance straight through muffler. Will there be a change in noise or anything? Also does anyone know what kind of performance gains I will notice? Thanks

Many people say the exhaust gets louder, and many of them stick with the stock muffler, cuz after market ones are unbearably loud....

With just the y-pipe...the exhaust at idle will rumble a little...

add in your exhaust and it will sound good IMHO but you may not care for the drone so keep your resonater on or possibly get a larger one to keep the performance that DOES exist but mild out the drone at low rpms.

YPipe + Catback =

DRONE.

YPipe + Test Pipe + Catback = Earbleading

YPipe + Resonator + Stock Muffler = Controlled power

YPipe + Mandrel Bends + 24inch Resonator + Stock Muffler = Just Right.
