5th Gen Badges on 4th Gen

Ok I got bored and decided to change some badges, give me your opinion. I already had a 5th Gen muffler so decided to make it look like an 5th Gen SE, at least badgewise.

Those look tight, I have them my self and they are awsome. Although I didn't go with the GLE style of placing the emblems.

It was almost $20 the Maxima one was more, its 5th Gen too. I tried the 4th Gen Maxima with the 5th Gen SE and didn't look right.

I was going to place them like the 5th Gen but decided to put them where the 4th Gen ones are and see who notices. I like the subtle approach.

is the "maxima" badge smaller than the 4th gen? maybe its just me but it looks a tad smaller. i really like the SE badge. i want to leave my 4th gen "maxima" badge but maybe body color it since there is no other chrome on the car.

Ya the Maxima badge is quite a bit shorter, at least a 1/3 or so. Same height just tighter spacing.

I like what you did with the 5th gen muffler. Did you just add bigger tips over the stock ones?

Is there anyway of cutting the rear pannel so the dual exhaust can peak thru a hole that is symmetrical?

Your badge looks good also. I would shave off the other badge though.

Those are two 4th Gen tips, it originally had the oval one but I didn't get it with the muffler.

Lefty, I have been trying to think about what to do about that hole, I was going to cut it out oval but not sure how it would look the original is really rounded on the edges and it might look worse but I am open to suggestions.

You could really go all out and get that hole filled with fiberglass or something so it looks like the other side. Do you think the tips will clear the bumper?

I REALLY like the first picture. The badges compliment the car's color very well. Even the SE emblem in the first pic.

Eh, I don't know Jime. It looks o.k. but something seems wrong. Can't really put my finger on it. Perhaps the 'Maxima' is too small and just floats in your (our) big, flat trunk.

To me, there are no emblyms like no emblyms. But I also think if you just made it symmetrical, it would look pretty good. Put the 'Maxima' on the top, left - symmetrical to the SE.

Just my opinion. Nice job.

ehh why would you take out the 4thgen maxima sign? the 5th gen is way to small for our trunk and it doesnt match well...however the se is cool and the color would look great on a white 4th gen

Looks great, just ordered a 2K2 "SE" badge from dealer, about to add that when it comes in (I'll post a pic when it's done). I'm debating on whether or not to use the 2K2 "MAXIMA" emblem in place of my existing one & to get the larger nissan emblem, but regardless of what I go w/, I'll post up pics.
