Help! Rattling in the Shift ****!

Anyone know how to stop the rattling? It's fine at lower revs but once I get up to about 3 grand the **** rattles unless I grip it with my hand. I am willing to replace it if need be...(Where can I find a new ****er ****?) Please help me...It's annoying!
Thanks

I assume that you have an aftermarket shift ****.

I have the same problem with my MOMO, but it's the opposite. Buzzing at idle.

The rubber part got stuck up in the **** and now I can't get the threaded portion back into rubber part. The threaded part is probably touching the aluminum portion of the ****... Try to pull the rubber piece back out and reposition. I've been too lazy to do it myself, but.....

My aftermarket does the same thing, actually it gets loose then rattles. The 3 screws holding it tight get loose every couple weeks. I guess that is what I get with a cheapo $20 shift ***. It does look real good though. It's chrome which matches the chrome inside the car.

There's lots of options for shift ***** without going to the crappy universal screw aftermarket ones (well, the ***** might not be crappy, but more prone to vibration than a directly threaded ****)....our stock thread length is the same as Mazdas, which means all those miata shift ***** out there are fair game.
