Mystery Button: The Answer
Mystery Button: The Answer
Just wanted to let everybody who responded know that I got the answer to my original question about the button next to my dash light dimmer switch to the right of my steering wheel.
According to my Nissan dealer, the button is a toggle switch that the previous owner installed to use for an additional car alarm. They traced the wiring up under the hood and saw that the wires had been disconnected. My Nissan security system is uneffected by this. I was told that I can use the switch to operate fog lights, if I choose to purchase some, or some device I may want to install at a later time.
For the record, I knew the switch wasn't for my cruise control because that switch was on the other side (as I said in a previous posting). However, someone responded and said it may be a switch that will override the cruise control so the auto shut off won't engage. That's what I was hoping it was.
Thanks again for the replies and have a happy Fourth.
