Im not sure if the pipe is hitting the heat shield or whats going on. It almost sounds like a marble is rolling around.. i dont know. but I am looking for any help i can get so if u have had this problem b4 let me know. thanks

is the vibration from the pipe maybe causing something loose in the dash to rattle?

maybe a loose screw or maybe a bolt rolling around in the pipe? IS it a loud noise or more of clicking one?

i suggest takin the pipe out and reinstalling it...my bro's wsp ypipe makes an air gushing noise but i think that's normal and his pipe also made a rattling noise cus the hanger was bumping the side so we put a cushion there

i just got my stillen Y-pipe installed today and also hear a sort of rattle under the engine. It only comes when I folly rev the car. Sort of a high frequency rattle. Like a plate vibrating. It is too hard to decribe...maybe i should try and record it.. :-/

I already checked to see if something in the dash area was rattling like change or something but its not that... I even took it back to the place I got it installed and there isnt a loose screw inside anywhere. WSP sent me an email saying that it probably was the hangers at the end of the ypipe and the cat. Im gonna check it out soon and see how it goes i guess.

I had the same problem...

...I swear I thought it was from inside the center of the dash...

like rattle..weird..not right...I Jacked up the car and bent some

type of metal Flange/Piece/Brace/Thingamajig that held the CAT in

place, at the junction where the Ypipe and the CAT meet...NO RATTLE now whatsoever. Get down there and look hard, shake things up. You will find it.

jack up ur car...go under it..and hold the pipe with 2 hands and shake it..u'll see that the hanger, right where the cat converter and the ypipe meet, is bumping the side under ur car....now bend that part of the hanger u seee hitting ur car...that'll get rid of ur noise/rattle problem

and yes, the rattling sounds like it's up front near the dash but it's not

wsp y-pipe

I have the same problem with wsp ypipe, installed today. I hear tinny rattling noise at idle and tranny in D, it gets louder if turn on A/C. I think its the heat shield. Ypipe also makes a burbling noise at take off, is this normal? as I expect it to be louder than stock.
