Help with transmission problem

I took my 97SE auto to the dealer for repairs under warranty and the technicians literally disassembled the tranmission looking for the problem. They changed the valve body, differential, p/n switch, and I don't remember what else. They corrected the problems that the car had but now I have a new one.

A day after I took the car out of the shop the service engine soon light comes up. I've noticed that now, when I'm cruising at 40 or above and I hit the gas pedal WOT the car does not accelerate and the revs go to the redline as if the transmission is Neutral. I took the car back to the shop and they tell me the code in the computer is P0744.

Any ideas what my problem should be?

Take it back to the dealer, demand they fix it, demand that they give you a loaner car.

Re: Help with transmission problem

Forgot to tell you, according to Haynes Repair Manual P0744 refers to "A/T TCC solenoid valve fault". Any light on what could be the problem?

Tell them to check for bad wires... Bad wires can be an M-F'er (from experience... 5 times in the shop.. 4 times they didnt know)
