Clearing tails - Anyone have a template?, What lens material is best?
I am going to retry clearing my tails soon since they did not come out very well the first time. I did not have a dremel before but I do have one now.
In a few other posts .org members have said they had a template and were going to post it, but I have yet to see one. Does anyone have a good template? Between the stock reflector being two pieces and the curved shape I had a hard time tracing it for a template.
Is there any type of lens material that works better than the rest? What brand or what store carries it? I think our biggest priority would be what transmits light the best so the turn signal can be seen during the day. Matching the stock reverse lights would also be good but I plan on doing all four so it is not a big concern for me.
Here are the ones on my car now, as you can see there is definatly room for improvement (click the pics for a larger one) --
