last nite i got in a really bad accident cars steering wheel wouldnt move and it went onto the curb and i think the axle is broken???? car turns on but when it is put in gear it wont move or anything?? how much would a axle be for a 98 maxima???????

I'm just guessin' here but it sounds like you're going to need a lot more than an "axle". I'd bring it to several collision repair places and find out...

i found out i need a new auto transmission too....how much do those go for?

 

I really am guessing but I'd have to say at least $1500 or so. But try junkyards, this board, etc...

Have them check the steering rack too. Wheels don't like to get hit from the side at all. A little wack can wreck a bunch of stuff from that direction....

Stay away from curbs....
