i think

I read a thread asking this very question about a week ago, If i remember correctly someone said it is possible if you get the car warmed up before the test. I think there was more, but i can't remember all of it.

Re: i think

You should pass emissions with an aftermarket Y-pipe once the car is warm. Unless you find the most **** retentive inspector on earth and he/she physically notices it.

yeah leave it on...warm car up, everything'll be fine. if you fail which is very doubtful, go from there but i'm confident you won't fail. haven't seen anyone say they failed yet and if they did it wasn't because of the y.

y pipe

That's the thing, I remember when I got the y pipe installed about two years ago right after I got my emissions done the technician at the station took a mirror attached to a long rod and ran it alongside the bottom of my car I'm not sure if they had it underneath the car far enough to see the pipe. I have an auto and the y pipe increases the noise at idle significantly compared to my friends 5 speed, do you think they might hear how loud it is and be suspicious????
