I was racing a audi a6 and right off the bat i had bout 1.5 cars on him. I have a 96 GLE max auto. Then like after bout 7 seconds he flew by me. I think its because he had a turbo and it had to spool up. Hmmm do they make audi a6 turbos. Or audi a6 TT. Cause i think ive seen them. But anyways he ended up beating me cause i had no chance. =[

 

yeah the audi a6 can have a biturbo v6, the same one thats in the audi s4 . the only problem is that they are boats, and weigh almost 4000 lbs with an automatic transmission.

so your story sounds about right. also, maybe he didnt know you were racing, and then when he realized it he just floored it and went flying

 

yea maybe but i made it real clear that we were. I also had 2 kids in my car... But the audi a6 are really huge

 

as an a6 Quattro owner, i can tell you that yes the a6 does come in a turbo v6 the badging on the car would say a6 2.7t which would actually smoke you by 2nd gear. the car has 250 hp. according to audi there is no real spool time on their turbo, so that would not have been the issue. On the other hand the regular a6 NOT QUATTRO is a little heavier than our maximas not by much though and is 200hp. you will ALWAYS beat an AUDI off the line because their geared for higher speeds not for low end off the line go. With my auto stick i've come out of 3rd gear at 105mph and when i kicked it into 4th OMG. The Quattro which has the all wheel drive is the one that is really heavy and thats because the full time awd package adds the extra weight.

with all that said if he was driving a regular a6 he would pass you by third. ask a few of my friends they didn't believe me either until.......c-ya

well we werent going that fast i slowed down at bout 55mph... after i got killed.

I dunno, one of my friends has an A6... I'll have to check the badging to see what model but that thing is slow as $hit!! He holds the pedal to the floor and the car takes its like the hampsters in the engine have to stretch out and warm up before getting on their wheel.

 

Nice try though, be careful with your KIDS, I've seen a really bad crash, where two guys were racing and they both had kids in there cars. luckily they all live but one kid is now wheelchair bound. Be careful out there.......
