Hi, I got a complete motor and tranny just taken out of an 01 maxima. Only reason for replacement was that I had a low mileage parts car, rather than let that clean low mileage engine and tranny go to waste, I did the swap.The powertrain ran great, didnt miss a beat, I even drove the car 1500 miles to a place and then back before I removed it. Engine did not burn or leak oil, and transmission shifted fine. No problems just 190k highway miles. Would like to get $250 or best offer. I mean I remember a time when just the intake manifolds from a dek were going for like $400. So anyone interested let me know!

 

how many miles on the rear coils? also, is this a cali spec?

 

i am not sure if the rear coils are original or not, i heard of something about grey dots on them means they were changed but not sure. All I know is that they work. In 2001 all maxima's and infiniti’s had this emissions setup. I think it would be considered cali spec comparing it to lower years, but they all went to cali spec in 2001 to my understanding.

not as of yet, but make a list of what you need and call dibs, if no one buys it or offers me some kind of price for this thing, i will part it out. so either offer, buy it , or make a list!

 

Lets part it out! everything is up for grabs! everything works on it. It ran great, and was swapped out while it still ran great. So all the parts function and work fine!

 

Do you have an ECM in the parts-car that's still good?

I have a feeling that my ECM is about to go.......I've been having some related problems.....

Cool man. Well hopefully next week I'll find out what I need done, as right now I have an electrical engine mount problem and a no-idle problem that have been directly related to a bad ECM in the Nissan TSB's that I've seen.

It might be a week or so before I find anything out, and I have no idea what those things are worth, or how big of a job it is to replace them. But if i turns out that I need it, I'll definately let you know.

Might need the engine mounts too. When was the car built / What is the VIN if you know it, because there was a point during the fabrication of the 2001's that they redesigned the mounts & ECM to fix the problems I am having. I'd have to look for the dates & such, but again, if I find otu what I need, I'll let you know.
