I wouldn't bother... it's a cheap strut bar that can be bent with a little muscle even though they are "strong" 6061 aluminum.
And if people say that thing can make a difference in terms of handling, they should slap themselves in the face. says me

Thx bud, just ordered one and called up just incase to see if it really is a Megan Product. It is and its shipping out tomorrow. Just something else to dress up the engine a little and ... "maybe" keep the front a little tighter handling.. lol

What you should expect is slightly quicker steering response and an overall somewhat tighter feel from a FSTB.

I have the same bar, picked it up from ebay also for around the same price. It didnt say megan anywhere on it but its IDENTICAL to that one in the photo. I dunno if it made a difference i did a few suspension mods all at once.
If it breaks id just get another.

i noticed a difference with my front strut bar. a very small difference, but it was a small difference for the better.

i have a strut bar that looks kind of like that. i think the only thing to worry about is the quality of the welds.

If they were made with the proper material then yes they do. The eBay strut bars are just for looks as far as A33 bars go. Don't trust their description because they are just a bunch of BS. The advertising of "megan" isn't gonna add extra rigidity to the cheap and weak *** bar.

Ya know, if the front strut towers were flexing, wouldn't the fenders bang into the hood? I mean, the hood gap is so small at the fenders, and if the strut towers really did "flex" as everyone seems to think they do, then I'd think you would see some signs of contact between the fender and hood.

The only strut bar that could make a difference are the solid kind that also bolt firmly to the firewall. These strut bars are flimsy, AND they have joints on them because it's a fact that they can NOT resist any flexing forces that may occur, so to avoid broken welds or cracks they install a rotating joint on each end.

Whats the point of my rant? Hopefully you can see that they are technically not capable of stiffening anything other than some wood when you pop your hood. Just save your money for something that actually works, like stickers.

^^^^ that guy up there is right, its not going to stiffen your suspension or steering as everyone seems to think, its a show mod mainly,im sure it plays some type of SMALL part in the age of your struts maybe....if your lucky...

thats the first thing i bought for the max. same one too off ebay. some things you just shouldnt skimp on such as boost controllers, mufflers that are 5 bucks, elctronics and such. Mine went on in 10 minutes and is actually very stiff and sturdy. Like i said mine has been on for about 1.5 yrs and i noticed a diff. No it isnt going to feel like brand new steering or a car meant to have real crisp steering such as a vette or a marketed sports car but i def noticed a diff. it just makes the steering feel more crisp and responsive and not sloppy or cadillac like. Like said previously to...for 22 bucks what will it hurt. Or you can spend mucho bucks for a stillen for the same feel just a brand name, now thats a waste to me.

actually made in china is wrong. He states these bars have " rotating joints". Not. What these braces have are a machined end with threads that allows a heim joint to be threaded in. http://autorepair.about.com/library/.../bldef-187.htm
The reason it is not all one peice is due to the car being unibody and that after 2, 3,4 years of use they are not in the factory state anymore. They may be mm or so off due to daily use so to accomodate the masses they are adjust to fit. This does not make the bar any less rigid. i have one and u can feel the strength of the bar and diff it makes. If it makes someone feel better to buy brand name for 100% mark up and piece of mind so be it. Also on the fender flex i cant see the fenders hitting the hood. the distance from hood to fender is say 1/8 to 3/16 gap. the cars now adays are built, should i say, good. They are mass produced peices of machinery. But if there is flex and im sure there is on a unibody car then the flex would only be minimized to only a few 1/100 of and inch or a few mm. This flexing is fine for the daily driver but for someone wanting to make their car even more stiff and rigid the bar is an add on to help with flex. This is why they sell subframe connectors, firewall to shocktower braces and any other type of brace. Add the fstb with a rstb and a rsb and im sure it would feel diff than just a rsb added. thats only my .02 though.

only way to solve this..made in china has to buy a 20 dollar megan ebay bar.. put it on his car.. realize that the car does feel different then normal.. and then he can sell it back on here and get his 20 bucks back... end of arguement

If strut bars were for looks only, BMW wouldn't put them in M3s.

Ah hah, you have made a good point. I checked Google images and sure enough the M3 has a strut bar similar to the kind we are discussing. However, I have faith that the BMW engineers went to great lengths to create a product that improves the vehicle. I am still highly doubtful of the ebay bars.
